Big Feat PR is an artist first, no nonsense music PR consultancy based in Nashville, TN. Providing effective and personal music PR services across print, terrestrial and digital media.

Built on a belief that close relationships with artists and clients fosters the clearest and most effective communication, Big Feat PR passionately represents some of the best established and emerging artists, labels and festivals in the USA including: Universal Music (Republic, Verve, Decca Records (UK)), Concord, Fantasy, Rounder, Easy Eye Sound, Loose Music, British Underground, Single Lock Records working with artists including Yola, Marcus King, S.G Goodman, Afghan Whigs, Kingfish, and many more.

Founded by Doug Hall, a British music publicist who has worked in music publicity for over 15 years representing some of the biggest global acts including The Rolling Stones. In 2014 Doug founded D Digital PR, a UK based music PR agency and one man publicity army which managed successful UK campaigns for high profile artists and events including Courtney Marie Andrews, Andrew Combs, Chris Stapleton, Alison Krauss, Imelda May, The Lumineers, Gregory Porter, Melody Gardot alongside international showcasing events at festivals including The Rio Olympics, SXSW and Americanafest in the USA.

In 2021 Julia Casey joined Big Feat PR, as Vice President. Prior to joining Big Feat, Casey ran the publicity department at Verve Label Group in New York City, where she worked with artists including Jon Batiste, Bettye LaVette, Max Richter, Shabaka Hutchings, Sons of Kemet, The Comet Is Coming, Olafur Arnalds, as well as led campaigns for albums such as John Coltrane’s Both Directions At Once, Blue World, and Thelonious Monk’s Palo Alto, among others. She is the recipient of two Clio Awards for Max Richter’s Sleep and Jon Batiste’s winning video “I Need You.”

Career opportunities at Big Feat PR

INTERNSHIP 2023

Music PR agency Big Feat PR has an on going remote/virtual intern program - an opportunity to learn about music publicity, media and the music industry as a whole and gain hands on experience in music PR. The role will have flexible hours, but ideally looking for a minimum commitment of 10 hours per month. Role will include:

  • Learning about the current media landscape and helping research exciting new writers

  • Learning how to write a press release, track by tracks and artist bios and understanding artistic narrative and messaging

  • Monitoring client coverage and benchmarking music PR campaigns

  • Learning how to pitch for album reviews, features and interviews

  • The role will be self sufficient - working from home but with daily check ins with team on zoom to discuss progress, concerns, ask questions and learn.

  • An ideal applicant will be a graduate from a music industry based colleague program and would bring diversity to the position across areas including gender, ethnicity, sexuality, identity, lived experience of disability, thought and opinion, but anyone with an interest in working in music publicity may apply.
